Hymir's cauldron part 2

For a long time the gods looked for such a large vessel, but nowhere could they find anything like it. Only Tyr advised Thor, to look for the boiler in Hymir's household, a wise giant, who lived at the very end of the world. They both left quickly, and that they had a long way to go, Thor took his marvelous wagon pulled by two goats. After some time they reached Hymir's headquarters. Thor shuddered in disgust, when he saw a giantess with nine hundred heads, who went out to meet them. They entered without fear, however. Here they were greeted by Hymira's concubine and advised, to hide before the giant returns, because he is reluctant to guests due to his avarice, and to anger. Thor, however, did not intend to hide. He only sat down at a safe distance from the entrance anyway, so that the beam supporting the ceiling of the hall covers it from the view of the people entering. Hymir returned in the evening. It was terrifying, when he entered the room. All ice ringing, which hung down with long icicles from his beard and hair. He was greeted here, as befits, and the visit of the guests was reported immediately. Hymir looked around the room, and under his terrible gaze the pillar crumbled, behind which the newcomers crouch. Part of the wall with the shelf also collapsed, on which the kettles for brewing beer stood. They all cracked, only one, can be seen better than other forged, stayed intact.

Seeing the bravest and strongest of the Aesir in his house, Hymir did not dare to do this to them, as with other travelers, who had this misfortune and found themselves even in the vicinity of his seat. Knowing Thor's fervor, and at the same time fearing him, invited him to a supper. He was also curious, which brought the giant slayer to his kingdom.

Three oxen were killed immediately, baked and served to the table. Thor, as he was ravenous after a long way, ate two, so that the rest of the revelers had to be satisfied with one. Thor's voracity made Hymir very angry. For fear of the condition of their herds, he said, that at the next supper they must be content with this, what they catch in the sea. He also made fun of Thor, by asking, will he dare to go fishing with him and be able to handle the fishing rod?
