Birds rarely found elsewhere in the world can be found in Norway – maskonury, called cliff parrots. These black and white birds with a nice appearance and a characteristic bright orange beak are fond of Norwegian rocky shores. Especially many of them come here during the breeding season. The puffin egg is incubated by both parents. Birds do not sit on the egg, but they carefully cover them with wings. They live in a deeply dug burrow, but they are very social, for they form entire bird colonies.
