You should look for cheaper accommodation outside the city. One of the possibilities is Hove Familiecamping (37085391) in Hove on the island of Tromøy, where you can get by the Merdø ferry (25 nkr). Away from the sea, na rogu Torvegatan i Østre gate, houses Ting Hai (37022201) – one of the few recommendable Chinese restaurants in Norway. It is open daily for lunch and dinner.

Entertainment

Arendal's bars and discos are open until 2.30. As the name suggests, it is located not far from the port of Fishermans Pub (37028870), at Langbryggen, it is open from Wednesday to Sunday evening.
