About Norway part 1

Norway (Norway) it stretches across almost 3000 km from the cities in the south located on the gentle beaches to the treeless, the ice-bound Svalbard archipelago in the north. The country covers vast stretches of forests, jagged playing, sharp peaks, amazing fjords, picturesque glaciers, vast ice fields and wild Arctic tundra. They only seemingly contrast with the modern nature, but peaceful cities, cute, quiet fishing villages, hundreds of valuable museums and numerous monuments – from restored Viking boats to medieval stave churches.

Norway does not fit the image of a typical Western European country. After all, it's actually to the east, borders with Russia… It also has a certain, barely perceptible, wild border character. Norwegians appreciate easy access to areas unspoiled by civilization. They can easily jump into a suburban forest, green belt surrounding almost every town. Seeking peace in the bosom of nature, go on wonderful hikes in the unspoiled nature, they go climbing or cross-country skiing, they canoe or fish for sport. People who are less active simply enjoy the stunning views as they travel by ferry, by buses and rail.

Most travelers visiting Norway are struck by its amazing beauty. Probably every part of the country has served as an inspiration for poets at least once, painters, composers, photographers and dreamers (no, with the possible exception of the track in Oslo). In the south, the gently rolling farmlands of Ostfold are eye-catching, the rocky coast of Rogaland and the forests of Telemark full of magical charm are astonishing, The sunny beaches of Skagerrak attract tourists, fills you with a thrill of horror, the inhospitable mountain landscape of the central plateau, coniferous forests along the border with Sweden invite you to wander, and the world famous fjords of the west coast are breathtaking even with this, who have seen them many times before.

To the north, the country is becoming less and less populated, and the horizon widens. North of Trondheim in space 1500 km the picturesque scenery changes like in a kaleidoscope, but the charm of the northern lands remains untouched. There are only surprises waiting for the traveler beyond the Arctic Circle. Lofty peaks soar up the coast, cute little fishing villages nestle on steep slopes, and at their feet a turquoise surface of the sea glistens mysteriously. Sami land overgrown with taiga-like forests (Sami people! seems to be waiting for discoverers of little-known cultures. A little further north naked, tree-less peninsulas face the waves of the Arctic Sea with their jagged coastline.
