ECOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENT
Norwegians appreciate fresh air, clean waters and lots of space. Norway has a highly rated environmental policy, one of the best in Europe. The issue of industrial waste has been regulated by law, segregating rubbish and recycling are popular, and by the roads you can rarely find stray paper. Both in the cities, Poles are struck by the neatness of their houses and streets, as well as outside them.
Unfortunately, the destruction of natural habitats has led to the situation, wherein 898 species of plants and animals are threatened with extinction. Hunting for sport and fishing is more popular here than elsewhere in Europe. Again, they were guilty of overfishing, which poses a threat not only to the natural environment, but also for the economy. In addition, Norway's position on whale and seal hunting, not popular all over the world, sparked international outrage and a boycott of Norwegian products.
